Q. Why has my account been suspended?
A. Probably for violation of the Terms of Service. Call us at (405) 495-6610 so that we can resolve the matter as soon as possible.
Q. Someone has been sending me e-mail, but it hasn't been coming through. What's going on?
A. It's possible that they may have a virus, but not know about it. Our mail servers scan messages and discard any that are found to be containing viruses.
Q. What languages/features does your web server support?
A. We currently support PHP, SSI, Ruby, CGI, Ruby, Frontpage extensions, and .htaccess files. We do not, however, support the ASP scripting language.
Q. Do you provide web design services?
A. Absolutely! The price varies depending on the complexity, and the size of the project. Call us as (405) 495-6610 for a quote.
Q. How much are your overage charges?
A. $15 for every additional 256MB/per month.
Q. Can you register a domain for me?
A. Yes we can. Pricing depends on the number of years that you register your domain for, but we ONLY charge you what it costs us to register the domain.
Q. Why am I unable to send mail?
A. While you can recieve mail through our services, your internet service provider provides an outgoing (SMTP) server. Contact them for assistance configuring your client to send mail. Afterwards, just set your reply to: address to youremailaddress@yourdomain.com
Q. What are your FTP server settings?
A. The host is polaritech.com, the username is your e-mail username, and the password is your e-mail password. The directory for your site will be /sitename/Docs for all of your HTML/Ruby/PHP files, and /sitename/cgi-bin/ for all of your CGI files
Q. What are your mail server settings?
A. the mail server will be your site name (example - mysite.com). For your web mail, the settings will be mail.yourdomain.com assuming you're DNS is with us. If it's with another company, such as network solutions, make sure that mail.yourdomain.com points to the IP 24.248.255.218
Q. What are you DNS servers?
A. Our DNS servers are 24.248.255.216 and 24.248.255.217. The host names are ns1.polaritech.com and ns2.polaritech.com respectively. Remember: when you create a new domain name, or change DNS servers, the change generally takes 24-36 hours to update throughout the internet.
